Project Greenbins is a joint initiative by NUS ESESC and Ground-Up Initiative (GUI) which aims to expose our ESE peers to organizations which are actively involved in environmental issues and also to do our part for environmental sustainability. This will be a good opportunity to translate your passion for nature into action which can have a positive impact on the environment. Through this project, we hope that you could explore deeper into various environmental-related processes, learn about the composting process and be part of the compost site building team!
Project Greenbins is spearheaded by Special Projects Cell of ESESC. Together with a team of ESE students and GUI, we will be establishing a composting area at Sustainable Living Kampong (SLK), Bottletree Park within a span of a month. Through our weekly sessions at SLK, participants will be able to try their hands at the composting process, design an educational hut and work at establishing the composting site in the most natural setting. At the end of four weeks, our completed composting site will be functional and will serve as an educational site for visits by the public.
You're most welcomed to join us for one or more sessions held respectively on 15th, 22nd, 29thJanuary and 12th February.
Sessions will be held on every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at SLK which is located within Bottletree Park. Registration deadline for each session is on Thursday of the particular week. So be sure to sign up early and indulge in a whole new learning environment in this natural enclave!
